Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: New Arrivals and Departures

Microsoft has unveiled its first Xbox Game Pass lineup of 2025, confirming several anticipated titles and announcing some departures. January is shaping up to be a strong month for subscribers.

New Games Joining the Service:

Microsoft officially announced seven new games joining Xbox Game Pass in January 2025 via their blog on January 7th. The lineup includes a mix of genres and access tiers:

  • Road 96: Available now (January 7th) across all Game Pass tiers (including PC). This choice-driven title returns to the service after a previous stint.
  • Lightyear Frontier (Preview): Available January 8th (Standard subscription). A sci-fi title in early access.
  • My Time at Sandrock: Available January 8th (Standard subscription).
  • Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders: Available January 8th (Standard subscription).
  • Rolling Hills: Available January 8th (Standard subscription).
  • UFC 5: Available January 14th (Game Pass Ultimate only).
  • Diablo: Available January 14th (Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass only).

The inclusion of Diablo and UFC 5 confirms earlier leaks, though their availability is limited to Ultimate and/or PC Game Pass subscribers.

Game Pass Ultimate Perks:

Alongside the new games, several Game Pass Ultimate perks launched on January 7th, including weapon charms for Apex Legends and DLC for First Descendant, Vigor, and Metaball.

Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass:

Six titles are departing Xbox Game Pass on January 15th:

  • Common'hood
  • Escape Academy
  • Exoprimal
  • Figment
  • Insurgency Sandstorm
  • Those Who Remain

This is just the first half of January's updates; Microsoft will likely announce further additions for the latter half of the month soon.
