Rinascita presents numerous intriguing puzzles, including the challenging Morph Paintings. These paintings are integral to two puzzle types: Overflowing Palettes and straightforward restoration tasks.
Morph Painting restoration puzzles are relatively simple yet rewarding, offering valuable resources like Astrites in Wuthering Waves. This guide details their mechanics, locations, and solutions.
Restoring Morph Paintings in Wuthering Waves
Restoring Morph Paintings involves correctly placing paintings onto designated pedestals. Examine the pedestal descriptions, locate the matching portrait, and use the Levitator utility to position it. The game usually auto-equips the Levitator; otherwise, press Tab/D-Pad Left to equip it manually.
Currently, two such puzzles exist, integrated into the "Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise" and "Trials of Old" quests.
Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise Morph Painting Puzzle
The "Shadows of the Past" questline in Wuthering Waves leads players through Thorncrown's three towers, with Resounding Rise featuring a Morph Painting puzzle. Solve it as follows (using the central painting as a reference):
- Swap the front-left and back-right paintings.
- Move the painting behind the left pedestals to the back-left pedestal.
- Move the painting behind the right chairs to the front-right pedestal.
Upon completion, a chest appears, allowing quest progression.
Trials of Old Morph Painting Puzzle
The "Trials of Old" quest requires completing four trials near Porto-Veno Castle in eastern Thessaleo Fells. The Trial of Wisdom contains a Morph Painting puzzle where paintings must be arranged on pedestals to create a narrative from left to right. The solution is depicted in the image above.
A simple way to verify correct placement is to check if the painting frame illuminates upon insertion. This shortcut bypasses the puzzle's core mechanic.
