World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Seven Weeks of Turbulent Timeways!
World of Warcraft's Turbulent Timeways event is back, and it's bigger than ever! Running for seven consecutive weeks until February 24th, this Timewalking extravaganza offers players a whirlwind tour through various WoW expansions. Expect bountiful rewards, including a massive influx of Timewarped Badges, significant experience boosts, and exciting new loot.
This expanded event builds upon the five-week Turbulent Timeways event from September 2023. Players will once again have the opportunity to earn the stackable Mastery of Timeways buff, providing a 20% experience bonus after completing four Timewalking dungeons. However, the stakes are higher this time around.
The Grand Timewalking Tour:
The seven-week event cycles through different Timewalking campaigns, starting with Mists of Pandaria on January 7th and culminating with Cataclysm the week of February 18th. Each week offers standard Timewalking quests, dungeons, and raids, alongside the coveted Mastery of Timeways buff.
Here's the complete schedule:
- January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
- January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
- January 21-27: Legion
- January 28-February 3: Classic
- February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
- February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
- February 18-24: Cataclysm
Rewards Galore:
Achieving Mastery of Timeways in five out of the seven weeks unlocks the "Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2" achievement, rewarding players with the charming Timely Buzzbee mount. Timewalking vendors for each expansion feature permanent additions, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor. Additionally, the Sandy Shalewing pet, previously available only during the initial Turbulent Timeways event, makes a return. To top it all off, completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest will yield Heroic gear throughout the event's duration.
Looking Ahead:
With the recent conclusion of WoW's 20th-anniversary event (featuring 11 weeks of Timewalking), players will have enjoyed a whopping 18 consecutive weeks of Timewalking by the time Turbulent Timeways ends. The event's February 24th conclusion date also hints at future plans. Considering Blizzard's typical release cadence and the holiday season, February 25th is strongly suggested as the release date for WoW Patch 11.1, "Undermined," ten weeks after Patch 11.0.7. This, coupled with the ongoing Plunderstorm event and the upcoming War Within update, promises an action-packed start to 2025 for World of Warcraft players.
