TennoCon 2024 delivered a knockout punch with the announcement of Warframe: 1999, a massive update promising a nostalgic trip back to 1999. Get ready for a thrilling ride through a Techrot-infested city teetering on the brink of a Y2K apocalypse.

The journey begins with a prologue quest, "The Lotus Eaters," launching in August 2024. Reuniting players with a beloved Warframe character, this quest sets the stage for the main event, introducing the world of 1999 and the new Warframe, Sevatgoth Prime, and its exclusive weaponry. Completing "The Lotus Eaters" is a prerequisite for experiencing Warframe: 1999, slated for release in Winter 2024.

Warframe: 1999 plunges players into an alternate 1999, where Y2K isn't just a date, but a deadly virus. Explore the retro-futuristic city of Höllvania, navigating its Techrot-corrupted streets on the new Atomicyles – vehicles capable of bullet jumps, drifts, and even explosive maneuvers. Leading the charge are the six members of the Hex, each wielding a Protoframe, a unique Warframe showcasing the human beneath.

The Hex team boasts a star-studded cast, including Alpha Takahashi, Ben Starr, Melissa Medina, and Amelia Tyler. Interact with them through the authentic 1999 medium: instant messaging. A successful flirtation might even lead to a New Year's kiss!

Adding to the 90s aesthetic, players will face off against On-lyne, a five-piece boy band corrupted by Technocyte Coda. Their infectious music, including the hit single "Party of Your Lifetime," is available on major streaming platforms.

Fashion takes center stage with significant upgrades to the fashion system. Players can equip two fashion frame loadouts, seamlessly switching between them. The introduction of Gemini Skins allows players to bring Protoframes like Arthur and Aoi into the Origin System, complete with fully voiced lines for combat and idle moments.
