War Thunder Mobile Beta Soars with New Aircraft and Features

War Thunder Mobile's open beta for air battles has officially launched! Gaijin Entertainment delivers intense aerial combat with this update, featuring over 100 aircraft from three nations—with more to come.

While War Thunder Mobile previously included aircraft in naval and ground support roles, this open beta introduces a full-fledged aviation tech tree and a dedicated air combat mode.

Currently, players can pilot planes from the USA, Germany, and the USSR, including iconic aircraft like the P-51 Mustang, Messerschmitt Bf 109, and La-5. More nations will be added soon.

Players can focus on a single nation's tech tree or diversify their progress across multiple nations. High-ranking aircraft can be acquired through blueprints earned in in-game events, with the first event starting in early October.

The open beta unlocks a new Aviation campaign, allowing access to the aircraft hangar for research, upgrades, and crew management. Squadrons of up to four aircraft can be formed, with customizable armaments and aircraft modifications. See a preview below!

Gameplay and the Aircraft Hangar

The aircraft hangar serves as the central hub between battles. Here, players can manage their vehicles, select camouflage, explore the tech tree, and invite friends to their squadron. Each aircraft slot offers three options: swapping vehicles, modifying armaments, or upgrading crews. Squadrons can be built using any available aircraft, regardless of class, nation, or rank.

With numerous new features to explore, download War Thunder Mobile from the Google Play Store and join the aircraft open beta today! Fans of Advance Wars might also be interested in our coverage of Athena Crisis, a new turn-based strategy game.
