Urshifu Debuts in Pokémon GO's Final Strike: GO Battle Week with Gigantamax Machamp

As the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO draws to a close, the final week, dubbed Final Strike: GO Battle Week, is set to begin on May 21st, 2025, and will run until May 27th. This exciting week marks the culmination of your journey with Kubfu, offering you the chance to evolve this determined little bear into the legendary Urshifu in two distinct forms.

What’s in Store during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week?

After weeks of dedication, you can now transform Kubfu into Urshifu. Depending on your battling style, you have the option to unlock either the Single Strike or Rapid Strike form. To achieve the Single Strike style, make Kubfu your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style, follow the same process but target 30 Water-types during Final Strike: GO Battle Week.

Additionally, a Special Research will continue the ongoing Seasonal storyline, available until June 3rd, 2025. This research offers rewards such as Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon like Charcadet with a Special Background.

May 25th Is a Special Day

Mark your calendars for May 25th, as it's the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. Gigantamax Machamp will make its debut in six-star Max Battles from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. During this event, several bonuses will be in effect:

• You’ll only need to travel one-fourth the normal distance to earn Max Particles.
• The cap for Max Particle storage will increase to 1,600.
• All Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles, yielding 8× Max Particles during this window.
• You’ll be able to perform two extra Special Trades.

Don’t miss out on collecting Max Mushrooms, which temporarily double the damage of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can use multiple mushrooms to extend the timer, though the power boost remains consistent.
