UPDATE (1/19/25) - TikTok has resumed operations in the U.S. after a brief service interruption.

A statement released on X/Twitter by TikTok reads: "In collaboration with our service providers, TikTok is restoring service. We express our gratitude to President Trump for providing the necessary assurances to our providers, confirming they won't face penalties for serving over 170 million Americans and supporting over 7 million small businesses. This decision strongly upholds the First Amendment and counters arbitrary censorship. We will continue to work with President Trump to establish a long-term solution ensuring TikTok's presence in the United States."
