As players delve into the mysterious Thorncrown Rises area in Wuthering Waves, they'll encounter Botim, who stands south of the Rinascita-Ragunna-Thessaleo Fells northern Resonance Beacon. Botim shares a tale of his family's ancestral site, which he's tasked with managing, and mentions a "Terminal" that has been passed down through generations.
He warns of shadowy monsters that infest the towers, causing havoc before mysteriously vanishing. Botim offers enticing rewards for those willing to tackle this challenge, thus initiating the Shadow of the Past Quest in Wuthering Waves.
Thorncrown Rises Three Towers Locations In Wuthering Waves
In Thorncrown Rises, players must locate three distinct towers, each contributing to the completion of the Shadow of the Past Quest, which is divided into three sub-Quests:
- Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise: Found in the northeastern part of Thorncrown Rises.
- Shadow of the Towers: Twilight Rise: Located in the southern part of Thorncrown Rises.
- Shadow of the Towers: Command Rise: Situated in the southwestern part of Thorncrown Rises.
Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise
The Resounding Rise Tower awaits in the northeastern corner of Thorncrown Rises. To embark on the Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise sub-Quest, players should speak with Itzel, who stands east of the Tower. Here's how to navigate the Tower:
- Interact with the painting at the hallway's end to step into it.
- Follow the Quest marker to track down the Abyssal Mercator.
- Engage and defeat the Abyssal Mercator, then secure the northern Basic Supply chest.
- Proceed to the western room to claim another Supply chest.
- Head to the eastern room and enter the second painting.
- Confront the Abyssal Mercator once more.
- Clear out enemies in both the eastern and western rooms to access the Supply chests.
- Move north and follow the Quest marker to continue pursuing the Abyssal Mercator.
- Defeat it again.
- Touch the painting behind it to proceed further.
- Open the chest at the hallway's end to halt the shooting enemies.
- Battle the enemy blocking your path.
To complete the Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise sub-Quest, arrange the paintings as follows:
- Move the top left painting to the bottom right display.
- Hold the painting behind the top left display.
- Place it on the bottom left display.
- Shift the top right painting to the top left display.
- Retrieve the painting behind the bottom right display.
- Position it on the top right display.
- Claim the Premium Supply chest.
Afterward, interact with the painting to face the Abyssal Mercator one last time, then speak with Itzel and collect the Tidal Supply chest. Upon defeating the Mercator, one of the Command Rise Tower barriers will weaken.
Shadow of the Towers: Twilight Rise
After leaving the Resounding Rise Tower, head southeast to the Twilight Rise Tower and converse with Insula to gain entry. Inside, follow the Quest marker until you realize you're caught in a loop, at which point Insula will appear. Then:
- Investigate the three marked spots for clues.
- Speak with Insula.
- Enter the secret passageway beneath the elevator.
- Defeat the Abyssal Patricius.
- Secure the Supply chest and continue forward.
- Confront the Abyssal Patricius for the final time.
- Talk to Insula again.
- Collect the Tidal Supply chest.
Completing these steps will finish the Shadow of the Towers: Twilight Rise Quest and weaken the second Command Rise Tower barrier.
Shadow of the Towers: Command Rise
Upon completing the first two parts of the Shadow of the Past Quest, the Shadow of the Past: Command Rise Tower sub-Quest will automatically begin. Here's what players need to do:
- Travel to the camp northeast of the Command Rise Tower and speak with Insula and Itzel.
- Use the Wingray northwest of the beach to fly to the Command Rise Tower.
- Enter the Tower.
- Follow the Quest marker deeper into the Command Rise Tower.
- Collect the Supply chest west of the moving libraries.
- Use the Grapple to ascend.
- Retrieve the Basic Supply from between the jars, then defeat the enemies on the balcony to obtain another Supply chest.
- Proceed to the Quest marker to battle the Abyssal Patricius.
- Secure the chest, then use the Grapple to climb higher.
As you ascend, thoroughly explore the Tower, as it contains numerous Supply chests and two Sonance Caskets: Ragunna.
Utilize the chandelier's mechanics to reach the Tower's summit. Upon arrival, you'll find Liel deceased. Speak with Insula and Itzel, then use the portal behind them to confront the Abyssal Patricius. Defeat it to claim the Call of the Abyss Rectifier and a Premium Supply chest.
Exiting the Command Rise Tower via the portal and conversing with Insula and Itzel will grant players the King of Thessaleo Achievement and the Shadow of the Tower Achievement in Wuthering Waves.
