Tencent Pushes Back The Hidden Ones Pre-Alpha Playtest to Next Month

Newsflash: The Hidden Ones Pre-Alpha Playtest Delayed

Fans of Hitori No Shita: The Outcast eagerly anticipating the pre-alpha playtest of the upcoming game, The Hidden Ones, will need to adjust their calendars. Originally slated for next week, Tencent Games and MoreFun Studios have announced a postponement until February 27th, 2025. This gives the development team an additional two months to refine the game and ensure a superior player experience. The announcement was made via the game's official website.

A Deeper Dive into The Hidden Ones

For those unfamiliar, The Hidden Ones is a high-octane brawler deeply rooted in the Hitori No Shita universe. It seamlessly blends Eastern philosophies, such as Taoism and Yin Yang, with modern martial arts in a captivating setting.

The game emphasizes character understanding, philosophical depth, and mastering unique abilities within a cinematic narrative that unfolds the lives of the Outcasts. Players will navigate multiple levels, facing progressively challenging bosses, each connected to a chapter in the overarching martial arts saga and evolving alongside the player's skill.

Multiple game modes are included: a competitive Duel mode for player-versus-player combat, an exciting action roulette mechanic allowing mid-fight skill acquisition from other characters, and a challenging Trial mode featuring a series of escalating boss battles demanding mastery of various characters and fighting styles.
