Tuxedo Labs has announced exciting plans to bring multiplayer functionality to Teardown, their popular sandbox game, complemented by the upcoming Folkrace DLC expansion. The Folkrace DLC will enrich the solo experience with fresh maps, additional vehicles, and competitive racing scenarios. Players can look forward to participating in diverse events, unlocking rewards, and personalizing their rides to conquer each course.
A Long-Awaited Multiplayer Experience
The multiplayer feature will initially launch on Steam's Experimental Branch, offering players early testing access. The development team actively welcomes player input, particularly from mod creators, as forthcoming API adjustments will enable mod compatibility with the new multiplayer environment.
Tuxedo Labs confirms multiplayer implementation has been both a developer priority and a top community request throughout Teardown's lifespan. This announcement fulfills that shared ambition.
During the initial rollout, multiplayer access will be available through Steam's "Experimental" branch while the team rolls out API updates for modders to optimize their creations for multiplayer gameplay. Following this testing phase, multiplayer will be permanently integrated into the core game.
