Square Enix Announces The EOS Of Romancing SaGa Re:universe

Romancing SaGa Re:universe Global Server Closure Announced

The global version of Romancing SaGa Re:universe will officially cease operations on December 2nd, 2024. While this may come as a surprise to some, the Japanese version will continue running.

Two Months Remain

With the December shutdown looming, in-app purchases of jewels and Google Play Points exchanges have already been discontinued following the September 29th, 2024 maintenance.

Launched in June 2020, the global server's four-year run is ending. Despite its impressive visuals, soundtrack, and generous gacha system, the game received a mixed reception. Unlike its popular Japanese counterpart, the global version lacked significant content updates such as Solistia and 6-star units, a year-long absence that contributed to player attrition.

Community Feedback

Square Enix, the developer, has already closed several titles this year, including Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and two Dragon Quest mobile games.

Romancing SaGa Re:universe, a turn-based RPG based on the classic SaGa series, offers players two remaining months of gameplay. Those interested can download it from the Google Play Store.
