Hazelight Studios continues to stand out in the gaming industry with its innovative approach to co-op gameplay. Their unique Friend's Pass system, requiring only one purchase for two players to enjoy the game, remains a distinctive feature. However, a previous shortcoming—the absence of crossplay—has been addressed.
Excitingly, Split Fiction will fully support crossplay functionality, as officially confirmed by the developers. The Friend's Pass system returns, meaning only one player needs to buy the game, although both players will require an EA account.
To further enhance accessibility, Hazelight has also revealed a playable demo. Players can experience Split Fiction together and even transfer their progress to the full game upon release.
Split Fiction promises diverse environments and a compelling narrative centered on the complexities of human relationships. Launching March 6th, the game will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
