Smite 2, revealed a year ago, promises a sequel to the beloved third-person MOBA, crafted using Unreal Engine 5. This sequel enhances the original experience with refined visuals and improved combat mechanics. It also features a revamped item shop that allows players to choose items irrespective of their god’s classification. As in the original Smite, players assume the roles of gods from various cultures, engaging in epic 5v5 battles across expansive maps. Following the closed alpha phase, Smite 2 is now open to everyone, ready to be enjoyed.
Starting January 14, Smite 2's open beta became available across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Epic Games Store and Steam), and Steam Deck, allowing players to download the game at no cost. The latest update introduces fresh content, including Aladdin, a god specifically crafted for Smite 2. Aladdin brings unique abilities such as wall-running and a revival mechanism through his companion's three wishes. Staying true to his legendary tale, Aladdin’s ultimate ability allows him to trap enemies in his lamp, forcing them into a 1v1 confrontation.
