EA Unveils Battlefield Labs: Your Chance to Shape the Future of Battlefield
EA has launched Battlefield Labs, offering a select group of players early access to the next Battlefield game. This isn't a traditional beta; it's an opportunity to provide direct feedback and influence the game's development. Here's how to participate.
What is Battlefield Labs?
Battlefield Labs is a new program designed to gather crucial player feedback. Chosen participants will get early access to in-development gameplay via remote playtests. They'll share insights on combat mechanics, map design, balance, and more, directly impacting the direction of the upcoming Battlefield title.
Initially, a few thousand players in Europe and North America will be selected, with plans for global expansion and increased participation in the future. Battlefield Labs will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Battlefield Labs vs. Beta Testing:
Unlike traditional betas, Battlefield Labs provides access to work-in-progress builds. Expect more bugs and rough edges than a typical beta. The goal is to obtain raw, unpolished feedback to refine the game's core elements. Participants will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
How to Sign Up for Battlefield Labs and Gain Early Access:
- Visit the official Battlefield Labs webpage.
- Log in or create an EA account and link it to your preferred gaming platform. Be aware of potential queues; you'll have a 15-minute window to access the site once your turn arrives.
- Complete the registration form and provide your email address.
- Keep an eye on your inbox for updates from the Battlefield Labs newsletter, including playtest invitations.
EA anticipates launching the next Battlefield game within their fiscal year 2026 (before April 1, 2026).
