Shrek 5's newly unveiled cast and teaser trailer have even caught the attention of the Sonic Movie franchise. In a humorous TikTok video, the official Sonic Movie account offered "advice for green ogres," referencing Sonic's own infamous initial live-action design and subsequent redesign.

The initial 2018 live-action Sonic design, exclusively revealed by IGN, faced significant criticism regarding its teeth, physique, eyes, and fingers. Director Jeff Fowler responded by implementing a much better-received redesign.

While the reaction to Shrek's new look is less intense, Sonic's playful jab has entertained fans. Comments included expressions of surprise and amusement at the unexpected advice.
