After two failed launches and months of waiting, *Rune Slayer* has finally arrived, and it's nothing short of glorious. Whether you're new to MMORPGs or a seasoned veteran, diving into *Rune Slayer* can feel a bit overwhelming. Fear not! We've put together a comprehensive guide to help you embark on your journey in *Rune Slayer* with confidence.
Rune Slayer Beginner Tips
Here are some essential tips that would have made our early days in *Rune Slayer* much smoother.
Do not randomly attack other players

When we first heard about *Rune Slayer*'s full-loot PvP, we were concerned it might turn into a chaotic free-for-all. Fortunately, our fears were mostly unfounded. **In *Rune Slayer*, dying—even to other players—doesn't mean you lose anything.** You simply respawn and continue playing.
However, there's a catch: **attacking other players places a bounty on you.** The more players you kill, the higher your bounty grows, and the more items you'll drop if you die. So, if you want to avoid turning *Rune Slayer* into a full-loot PvP experience, **refrain from attacking other players** unless you have a compelling reason or a supportive group of friends.
Craft Bags ASAP

You'll quickly realize that both your **bank space and inventory are quite limited**. With only 50 slots, your inventory can fill up fast. The solution? **Craft bags.** You can equip up to two bags, and the first one you should craft is a **Cotton Bag**.
To craft a Cotton Bag, gather **Cotton from north of Wayshire and Flax from the south** (watch out for mobs in the south). Each Cotton Bag adds an extra 10 slots to your inventory, so prioritize crafting these as soon as possible.
Your pets don’t actually die

A common misconception is that your tamed pets die when their health reaches zero. In reality, **when a pet 'dies,' it becomes unsummonable for 5 minutes.** You can check this cooldown by holding **T**. After the cooldown, hold **T** again to resummon your pet.
Bonus Tip: To **quickly heal your pet**, store and unstore it at the stable master. You get one free slot, so make use of it.
Grab all the Quests (Yes, all of them)

*Rune Slayer* is packed with quests, many of which are not repeatable and can be easily forgotten. Most quests follow the familiar "Kill 10 X" format seen in many MMORPGs, and you might not even read them all.
To manage this, **accept every quest you encounter**, including those from the Job board. Completing multiple quests simultaneously is more efficient than tackling them one by one. You might even find yourself completing several quests at once without realizing it.
Craft everything at least once (even things you don’t need)

While you should prioritize crafting what you need, don't hesitate to use **spare materials** to craft items you might not immediately require. **Crafting items for the first time often unlocks new, more powerful crafting options.** For instance, smelting your first Iron Ore unlocked a range of new Iron Armor crafts for us. So, be generous with your materials and experiment with crafting.
Join a Guild
*Rune Slayer* is designed to be solo-friendly, but as you progress, you'll encounter **tougher enemies** that are best tackled in groups. Joining a guild is the easiest way to find like-minded players to take on these challenges.
Use the general chat to express your interest in joining a guild, or visit the official *Rune Slayer* Discord server to find one. Having a guild can make a significant difference in your gameplay experience.
And that's all there is to it. Enjoy your adventures in *Rune Slayer*, and if you haven't already, be sure to check out the *Rune Slayer* Trello and Discord for more tips and community support.
