Nine years after its launch, Rainbow Six Siege is getting a massive overhaul, dubbed Rainbow Six Siege X. Announced on February 17, 2025, Ubisoft will fully detail these changes in a showcase on March 13, 2025, at 10:00 am (PDT) / 1:00 pm (EDT) in Atlanta, Georgia. The event promises an immersive experience for players, creators, and developers alike, revealing the evolutions of Siege X and other surprises.
In-person attendance requires a USD $10 ticket, including an exclusive long-sleeve shirt and in-game cosmetic pack. Eligibility is limited to legal residents of the USA and Canada, aged 18 or older, with a good standing Rainbow Six Siege account (no bans or sanctions).
Ubisoft is also offering two lucky fans a VIP package including hotel stay, roundtrip flight, and event entry. This giveaway is also limited to legal residents of the USA and Canada.
Siege X will introduce new gameplay mechanics, enhanced tactical gameplay, refined controls, and significant overall upgrades. Specific details will be unveiled during the showcase.
Rainbow Six Siege's 10th Anniversary & Season 1
Originally released on December 1, 2015, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC (Rainbow Six Siege later launched on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2020), the game has received numerous updates throughout its lifespan, establishing it as a long-running live-service shooter. Siege X promises to further extend the franchise's longevity.
A February 17, 2025 Steam post announced a new operator, Aurora (with deployable bulletproof doors), a new elite skin for Aruni, and a new reputation system rewarding or penalizing player behavior. These additions launch in Season 1 of Year 10, "Operation Prep Phase," on March 4, 2025, to celebrate the game's 10th anniversary.
Given the Season 10 launch date and the Siege X showcase timing, the major Siege X upgrades will likely be implemented on live servers at a later date.
