The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) has kicked off, marking the first major international PUBG Mobile esports event of the year. With over 90,000 competitors registered, the Open Qualifiers, which began February 13th, offer a thrilling opportunity for aspiring players to showcase their skills and compete for a share of the impressive $500,000 prize pool.
This tournament emphasizes fresh talent, welcoming amateur teams and providing a platform for them to challenge established esports organizations. Teams featuring at least one Ultimate 500-ranked player from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already advanced to Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. Over the coming weeks, emerging squads will battle it out for a coveted spot in the PMGO Prelims, where they'll face off against top teams from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.
Twelve teams will ultimately earn the right to compete against PUBG Mobile's elite professionals in the PMGO Main Event. Four professional teams—Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage—have already secured their places based on their outstanding performances at the PMGC 2024. Four more teams will join them, qualifying through regional competitions such as the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.
The Open Qualifiers run until March 2nd, followed by the Prelims on April 10th-11th, culminating in the Main Event on April 12th-13th. This tournament is just the beginning of an exciting year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and PMGC also on the calendar for 2025.
