Palumbo revealed a significant detail: a developer, choosing to remain anonymous, confirmed receiving the PS5 Pro's specifications and expressed confidence in Unreal Engine 5's enhanced performance on the new hardware compared to the standard PS5.

This corroborates a report from Italian gaming site Multiplayer, which reported a developer delaying a game release to align with the rumored PS5 Pro launch. Palumbo added that the developer he spoke with was not the same as the one mentioned by Multiplayer and was from a smaller studio, suggesting widespread access to the PS5 Pro's specs among developers.

Further supporting the Gamescom 2024 insights and Palumbo's reporting, analyst William R. Aguilar hinted on X in July that Sony is likely to unveil the PS5 Pro later this year. Aguilar suggested a possible announcement during a rumored September 2024 State of Play, emphasizing Sony's need for a timely announcement to avoid impacting current PS5 sales.
