How to Use Potions Simultaneously in Hogwarts Legacy

by Hazel Jan 21,2025

This Hogwarts Legacy guide explains how to use potions simultaneously, a requirement for Professor Sharp's Assignment 1. This quest, received after completing Jackdaw's Rest, tasks players with using a Focus Potion, then simultaneously using Maxima and Edurus Potions. The guide clarifies the often-unclear method of using multiple potions at once. Separate guides detail potion creation and ingredient locations.

Successfully completing Professor Sharp's Assignment 1 unlocks the Depulso spell. This spell forcefully repels objects and enemies, causing indirect damage by launching them into each other. It's also useful for manipulating objects.

Using Maxima and Edurus Potions Simultaneously

Using Potions Simultaneously

To use Maxima and Edurus Potions simultaneously:

  1. Open the Tool Wheel by holding down L1/LB.
  2. Select a potion and release L1/LB to equip it.
  3. Press L1/LB again (briefly) to drink the equipped potion.
  4. Once the first potion's effect begins, quickly repeat steps 2 and 3 for the second potion.
  5. The game will register both potions' simultaneous activation, fulfilling Professor Sharp's request.

Edurus Potion (Mongrel Fur and Ashwinder Eggs) grants 20 seconds of enhanced defense via rocky skin. Maxima Potion (Spider Fangs and Leech Juice) boosts spell damage for 30 seconds.
