by Madison Jan 10,2025

Get ready for Pokémon Go's Holiday festivities! Niantic is launching the first part of their Holiday event, bringing seasonal fun from December 17th to 22nd. This event is packed with bonuses, special Pokémon encounters, and challenges.

Double XP for catching Pokémon and halved Egg hatching distances await! A new costumed Dedenne, sporting holiday attire, makes its debut, with a chance to find its shiny variant. Plus, Shiny Sandygast appears for the very first time!

Explore the wild for Alolan Sandshrew, Swinub, and Darumaka. Raids offer a festive lineup: one-star raids feature Winter Carnival Pikachu and holiday Psyduck. Three-star raids challenge you with Undersea Holiday Glaceon and Cryogonal, while Mega Latias and Mega Latios appear in Mega Raids.

ytSeven-kilometer Eggs hold the possibility of hatching Hisuian Growlithe or a holiday-ribboned Cubchoo. Event-themed Field Research tasks and a $2.00 Timed Research offer encounters with themed Pokémon, Premium Battle Passes, and more rewards.

Collection Challenges return, rewarding Stardust, Poké Balls, and Great Balls for catching and raiding. Show off your event Pokémon at PokéStop Showcases! Don't forget to claim free items using Pokémon Go codes!
