Pokémon Sleep Development Transitioned to Pokémon Works
The Pokémon Company's subsidiary, Pokémon Works, will assume responsibility for Pokémon Sleep's ongoing development and updates, taking over from Select Button.
This shift, announced via the Japanese in-app notification, marks a change in management structure. Previously, development was a collaborative effort between Select Button and The Pokémon Company. The impact on the global version of Pokémon Sleep remains to be seen, as the announcement isn't yet reflected in the global app's news section.
Pokémon Works, a relatively new entity formed from The Pokémon Company and Iruka Co., Ltd., is based in Shinjuku, Tokyo, sharing proximity with ILCA, the studio behind Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Their prior contributions include work on Pokémon HOME. The company aims to enhance the Pokémon experience, making the interaction with Pokémon more immersive and enjoyable. The specific ways this vision will be implemented in Pokémon Sleep are yet to be revealed.
