Pokemon GO Fashion Week: Remote Raid Passes Arrive in Shadow Raids!
This Fashion Week: Taken Over event in Pokemon GO marks a significant milestone: for the first time, trainers can utilize remote raid passes in Shadow Raids! This limited-time opportunity allows players to participate in one-star, three-star, and five-star Shadow Raids remotely, from January 15th, 12:00 a.m. to January 19th, 8:00 p.m. local time.
Shadow Raids, introduced in 2023, offer a chance to catch Pokemon with superior IV stats. This event expands accessibility, allowing more trainers to participate in these challenging encounters.
A Special Shadow Ho-Oh Raid Day:
The excitement continues with a dedicated Shadow Ho-Oh Raid Day on January 19th (2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time). This presents a heightened chance to snag a shiny Shadow Ho-Oh and teach it the powerful charged attack, Sacred Fire. Additionally, trainers can use Charged TMs to remove the Frustration move from their Shadow Pokemon.
A Temporary Treat (For Now):
While this feature is event-exclusive, it fulfills a highly sought-after player request since Shadow Raids launched. After Fashion Week concludes, remote raid passes will no longer function in Shadow Raids.
The Future of Remote Shadow Raids:
Whether this is a one-time event or a prelude to permanent integration remains uncertain. Given past criticism regarding the in-person requirements for challenging raids like Dynamax and Gigantamax battles, many players hope this convenient feature becomes a standard addition to the game.
