Pokemon Center Hiroshima Relocates, Unveils Gyarados Plaza
Pokemon Center Hiroshima will temporarily close in March 2025, reopening at a new location in April 2025. A new Gyarados Plaza will simultaneously launch in March.
New Location for Pokemon Center Hiroshima
The store's move to the second floor of Ekie, Hiroshima Station's north exit, is scheduled for around April 2025. Currently situated on the 6th floor of Sogo Hiroshima's Main Building, the store has been a Hiroshima landmark since its opening in June 2015.
Gyarados Plaza Opens at Hiroshima Station
The "Gyarados Plaza by Pokemon Center Hiroshima" will debut on March 24, 2025, on the rooftop of Soramoa Plaza, located within the new Minamoa building at Hiroshima Station. This playground features large Gyarados-themed play equipment. Advance reservations will be required for a limited time after its opening; details will be released on the official Minamoa website.
Poke-lun TV Nationwide Event
To celebrate "Poke-lun TV" surpassing 1 million subscribers, a nationwide event will be held at participating Pokemon Centers across Japan (including Hiroshima) before its closure. A unique sticker is available with a password obtained from a December 19, 2024, "Poke-lun TV" YouTube video.
Pokemon Center Mega Tokyo, Osaka, and Okinawa will offer photo opportunities with life-sized cutouts of the popular Poke-lun TV hosts. This event runs from January 17, 2025, to February 16, 2025, and excludes Pokemon Stores, Pokemon Center Online, Pokemon Cafes, and Pikachu Sweets by Pokemon Cafe.
