Pokémon Go now lets you join Raids from your friend list

by Charlotte Jan 24,2025

Pokémon Go streamlines Raid participation with a new friends list feature! Now, if you're Great Friends or higher with another player, you can easily join their ongoing Raids directly from your friends list, seeing the Raid boss and joining the battle without needing an invitation.

This minor but welcome update simplifies cooperative gameplay. For solo players, the feature is entirely optional and can be disabled in the settings.

Solo Play Remains an Option

The official Pokémon Go blog provides comprehensive details on this change. While seemingly small, this improvement addresses a long-standing player request, demonstrating Niantic's increased responsiveness to community feedback.
