The PlayStation Portal, Sony's PS remote player, is finally coming to Southeast Asia! Following a significant software update addressing Wi-Fi connectivity issues, pre-orders open August 5th, 2024, with launches in Singapore on September 4th and Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand on October 9th.

The PlayStation Portal, previously known as Project Q, offers a portable PS5 gaming experience. Its features include an 8-inch LCD screen with a full HD 1080p display at 60fps, and the DualSense controller's adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. This handheld device allows remote play streaming of PS5 games via Wi-Fi.

Sony emphasizes the Portal's convenience for households sharing a TV or for playing PS5 games in different rooms. User feedback indicates a marked improvement in performance.
