It's important to note that Sony will discontinue PS4 games from its PlayStation Plus Essentials monthly games and Game Catalog starting January 2026, focusing solely on PS5 titles. This change will not affect games already obtained by players, but Game Catalog titles will only be playable until they are removed from the catalog during the monthly refresh. Sony stated that they will continue to improve the PlayStation Plus experience by optimizing benefits such as exclusive discounts, online multiplayer, and cloud saves. They also plan to add new PS5 titles monthly.
