Nintendo Switch 2 Paid Tours Available

by Camila Dec 31,2025

Nintendo has unveiled the Switch 2 Welcome Tour, a dedicated game designed to introduce players to the new console's features through interactive experiences. Interestingly, it won't be included as bundled software but rather sold separately as a premium digital title.

During today's Nintendo Switch 2 Direct presentation, the company revealed this "virtual exhibition" of their next-gen hardware. According to Nintendo, "players will explore the system's capabilities through tech demonstrations, engaging minigames, and unique interactions that highlight innovative features they might otherwise overlook."

The broadcast featured a player's avatar navigating an oversized Switch 2 model while learning about its technical specifications. This digital experience combines elements of an educational museum with entertaining challenges like Speed Golf, Spiked Ball Dodge, and a Maracas Physics simulation.

Nintendo confirmed both during the livestream and in official communications that the Welcome Tour will be purchasable on the eShop starting the Switch 2's June 5, 2025 launch date.

While an innovative concept, many enthusiasts questioned why this system showcase wasn't included with the console purchase. Pricing details remain unavailable at this time.

The Switch 2 launch lineup includes several notable titles including Mario Kart World, Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster, and Deltarune's complete first arc. This positions Nintendo's hardware demonstration as an optional purchase competing for attention alongside full gaming experiences.

The standard console will retail for $449.99 USD, while a $499.99 bundle will include Mario Kart World. For comprehensive coverage of today's announcements, visit our complete Nintendo Switch 2 Direct breakdown.
