New Nintendo Switch 2 Game Case Size Revealed by Fans

Nintendo Switch 2 enthusiasts have recently shifted their focus from the console itself to the size of its physical game cases, following a potential leak from a retailer. As reported by Nintendo Life, journalist Felipe Lima discovered a listing for a Take-Two Interactive Nintendo Switch 2 game on the French retailer Fnac, which included the dimensions of the game case. If these dimensions are accurate, the Nintendo Switch 2 game boxes will be slightly larger than those of the original Nintendo Switch.

This information was further illustrated in a Reddit post by HertzBurst, showcasing a side-by-side comparison of the two game box sizes. According to the retailer's listing, the new boxes measure approximately 5.1 inches by 7.7 inches (13 centimeters by 19.5 centimeters). While these dimensions make the cases slightly larger than the familiar smaller cases of the current Nintendo Switch, they remain significantly smaller than the standard cases used for Xbox Series X and S and PlayStation 5 games. Although this information is not yet official, it's plausible that retailers would receive such details early to prepare their stock displays.
