NieR: Automata Resource Management: Farming Dented Plates

While resource abundance varies in NieR: Automata, the demand for materials, especially for weapon upgrades, remains high. Dented Plates, a frequently needed resource, can be farmed efficiently using several strategies.

Efficient Dented Plate Farming Locations

Dented Plates are commonly dropped by:

  • Small Bipeds (all variants)
  • Small Flyers (all variants)
  • Small Spheres (all variants)

These basic enemies are prevalent throughout the game. However, relying solely on random encounters isn't the most efficient method.

Optimal Farming Spot: Adam's Arena

The most effective location is the pit where you first encounter Adam.

  1. Fast travel to the Desert: Housing Complex access point.
  2. Proceed deeper into the ruins.
  3. Descend to the pit.

Machines continuously respawn here, with Small Bipeds being the most common. Even lower-level enemies in this area offer a decent Dented Plate drop rate. This location is also advantageous for Titanium Alloy farming.

Alternative Farming Location: Forest Kingdom

The Forest Kingdom provides another viable option. Groups of spear-wielding Bipeds frequently appear, usually dropping at least one Dented Plate per group. This area also offers opportunities to gather Beast Hide. Higher-level Bipeds yield a higher drop rate, so progressing through the story increases your chances of obtaining Dented Plates.

Utilizing Plug-in Chips

Equipping drop-rate up plug-in chips significantly boosts your chances of acquiring Dented Plates. Remember to avoid death, as lost chips are permanent.
