Netflix has officially launched Game Night, a new feature first introduced last month. The streaming service describes it as 'Your TV + your phone = instant fun,' transforming your living room into a casual gaming hub.
Play Party Games on Your TV Using Your Phone with Netflix Game Night
All you need is a TV, an active Netflix subscription, and a smartphone capable of scanning a QR code. The current Game Night lineup features Boggle Party, Lego Party!, Pictionary: Game Night, Tetris Time Warp, and Party Crashers: Fool Your Friends.
Simply select a title on your TV, open your phone's camera to scan the displayed code, and your device becomes the controller. There's no need to visit the Play Store or pay any additional fees. The feature is also accessible via a web browser if you'd rather play on a laptop instead of a TV.
A Quick Overview of the Available Games
Boggle Party supports up to eight players. In this classic word search game, players find words within a grid of random letters by swiping to mark them. The TV acts as a scoreboard, displaying found words and calculating scores. The winner is the player who finds the most unique words or words with the most letters.
LEGO Party! allows up to four players. It's a collection of mini-games where players move around a board, competing to collect the most golden bricks. The game includes a total of 60 mini-games.
In Pictionary, players guess the drawings of their friends and family, supporting up to 10 participants. Correct guesses earn points for both the guesser and the artist.
