Mortal Kombat 1 released Conan the Barbarian gameplay trailer

Mortal Kombat 1 has unveiled back-to-back character reveals. Yesterday's esports trailer hinted at the T-1000, but the Terminator isn't the immediate addition. Instead, Conan the Barbarian takes center stage, with a gameplay trailer released today showcasing his brutal fighting style.

Conan's design is clearly inspired by Arnold Schwarzenegger, and he plays as a powerful, heavy-hitting character. His attacks appear devastating, though his lack of agility might be offset by his sword's reach. Matchups against characters like General Shao, Omni-Man, and Homelander would be particularly intriguing to witness.

While his fatality – drowning an opponent in acid – lacks the visual spectacle of some other Mortal Kombat 1 finishers, Conan's gameplay promises to be entertaining.

Premium edition owners gain early access on Tuesday, while everyone else can unleash the Cimmerian barbarian starting January 28th.
