"Morikomori Life: A Ghibli-Inspired Rural Social Sim"

Morikomori Life, a captivating rural farm life simulation game, has officially launched on Android and iOS platforms, but currently, it's available exclusively in Japan. The game is being published by Realfun Studio, marking a shift from its initial release in China by Level Infinite under Tencent Games. Notably, the Chinese version was discontinued approximately a year ago.

The Rural Farm Life Sim Is Back

One of the standout features of Morikomori Life is its breathtaking visuals. The developers have masterfully captured the essence of a cozy rural life through anime-inspired, specifically Ghibli-style art. These visuals are not generated by modern AI tools but are reminiscent of scenes directly lifted from a Studio Ghibli animated film, offering an authentic and immersive experience.

In the game, you step into the shoes of Kaon, a young Japanese girl who receives a mysterious letter from her grandmother, prompting her to return to the village of Komori where she spent her childhood. Your journey involves rediscovering the joys of a peaceful life amidst the beautifully rendered 3D toon-shaded Japanese landscapes that evoke the warmth of real-life countryside settings.

Don't just take my word for it—experience the charm of Morikomori Life for yourself by watching the game trailers below:

Morikomori Life Lets You Experience Slow-Paced Living

Morikomori Life is all about embracing a slower, more relaxed lifestyle. Engage in a variety of activities that reflect the essence of rural living: farming, cooking, fishing, hunting, and even constructing your own home. You'll also have the opportunity to chop wood, mine for ore, and discover rare materials as you explore the expansive world.

As you gather resources, you'll unlock new ways to enhance and expand your living space. Personalize Kaon's appearance to match your style, make new friends in the village, cook dishes with foraged ingredients, and assist villagers with various tasks.

The game offers extensive character customization, allowing you to tailor your avatar to reflect your personality. Moreover, the open-world aspect of Morikomori Life grants you the freedom to explore and encounter delightful surprises along the way.

Currently, Morikomori Life is available on Android in Japan. If you're in the region, you can download it from the Google Play Store. There hasn't been any announcement yet regarding a global release.
