Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta: Cross-Play Confirmed, Launching Next Week!
Capcom's recent showcase unveiled exciting new details for Monster Hunter Wilds, including a cross-platform open beta launching next week! Prepare to hunt across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Open Beta Access:
PS Plus subscribers on PS5 enjoy early access starting October 28th, while everyone else joins the hunt from October 31st to November 3rd. Pre-downloads begin October 27th (PS Plus) and October 30th (all others). Ensure you have at least 18GB of free space.

The open beta features:
- Character Creation: Customize your hunter and Palico; customizations carry over to the full game.
- Story Trial: Experience the game's opening, including a tutorial and a fight against the Chatacabra.
- Doshaguma Hunt: Tackle the alpha Doshaguma in a challenging multiplayer quest (NPC hunters available for solo play).
Beta Rewards:
All beta participants earn exclusive in-game rewards, including a Palico pendant and an item pack (Mega Potions, Rations, etc.), redeemable as DLC upon the full game's release on February 28th, 2025.
New Trailer Reveals "Black Flame" and Oilwell Basin:
A new trailer showcases the fiery Oilwell Basin, home to unique monsters like the Ajarakan and the Brute Wyvern Rompopolo. The trailer's namesake, the Black Flame, a fearsome squid-like apex predator, adds an ominous element to the game's lore. The trailer also introduces the people of Azuz, skilled forgers residing near a massive fire forge in the Oilwell Basin.
