Monopoly drops a new Valentine’s Day themed update with new house rules and a quiz

This Valentine's Day, get ready for a romantic twist on your favorite board game! Marmalade Game Studio and Hasbro have released a special update for Monopoly on Android and iOS, filled with limited-time content perfect for celebrating love.

This update includes a fun quiz that matches you with one of four Monopoly tokens, each representing a different facet of love. After a 24-hour free trial with your matched token, you can purchase it at a discounted price.

The update also introduces revamped House Rules for a faster-paced game. Choose from options like "Quick Hotels" (build three houses instead of four), "Quick End" (the game ends after the first bankruptcy), "Quick Jail" (leave jail on your first turn), and "Starting Title Deeds" (begin with three random properties). Tax, Chance, and Community Chest spaces are also skipped, streamlining gameplay.

To add to the Valentine's Day spirit, a brand-new set of Cupid-inspired tokens and the "Sweethearts" bundle (featuring two cherubs) are now available.

Radu Rovin, Head of Studio at Marmalade Game Studio, explains, “We wanted to create an event that celebrates diverse expressions of love this Valentine's Day, from friendships made while playing Monopoly to enjoying some self-care time with your favorite game.”
