Monoloot: A Fresh Take on Dice-Rolling Board Battlers

My.Games, the studio behind hits like Rush Royale and Left to Survive, has launched a new dice-based board game, Monoloot. Currently in soft launch in the Philippines and Brazil (Android only), Monoloot: Dice and Journey blends the dice-rolling mechanics of games like Monopoly Go with the fantasy elements of Dungeons & Dragons.

Unlike Monopoly Go's faithful adaptation of its namesake, Monoloot deviates significantly, offering a unique experience. The gameplay features RPG-style battles, castle building, and hero upgrades, allowing players to cultivate their own army of powerful characters.

The game's vibrant visuals, a compelling mix of 2D and 3D graphics, and clear nods to popular tabletop RPGs make it a promising title.

Monopoloy Go's Waning Popularity and Monoloot's Strategic Launch

The recent decline in Monopoly Go's popularity, after its initial explosive growth, presents an interesting backdrop for Monoloot's soft launch. However, the success of Monopoly Go's dice mechanics suggests that My.Games' approach of leveraging this popular element while introducing fresh mechanics is a shrewd strategy.
