The beloved franchise, which has already taken audiences deep into its mysterious depths through manga, anime, and a 3D action RPG, is now venturing into the realm of mobile gaming with the announcement of Made in Abyss: A Difficult and Mysterious Journey. This new mobile game marks the first time the story will be experienced on mobile devices.

The game, titled Made in Abyss: A Difficult and Mysterious Journey, was unveiled alongside the launch of its official X account. This account is expected to provide regular updates as the release date approaches. Although details about the gameplay are sparse, it's known that this will be a casual mobile title, available initially on Android and iOS platforms, but only in Japan. No information has been released yet regarding a global launch.

For those unfamiliar with the series, Made in Abyss began as a manga in 2012, created by Akihito Tsukushi and serialized on Web Comic Gamma. The story centers on Riko, a young orphan living in the town of Orth, which is perched on the edge of a colossal vertical chasm called the Abyss. This mysterious pit is teeming with ancient technology, bizarre creatures, and an enigmatic allure that consumes those who dare to explore it. Riko's ambition is to emulate her mother, Lyza, a renowned White Whistle Cave Raider who vanished within the depths of the Abyss.
During her journey, Riko encounters Reg, a half-robot boy with no recollection of his origins. Together, they embark on a perilous descent into the Abyss, fully aware that their adventure might be one-way. The manga's popularity led to its adaptation into an anime in 2017, followed by a sequel film, Dawn of the Deep Soul, released in Japan in 2020. Additionally, in 2022, Chime Corporation released a console and PC RPG titled Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness.
