"Minion Rush Gets Major Update with Unity Engine Switch"

by Mia Jun 11,2025

Minion Rush is about to receive what Gameloft is calling its "biggest update yet", bringing a fresh wave of excitement to the long-running endless runner. The update ushers in a new era for the game by transitioning it to the Unity engine, paving the way for enhanced visuals, smoother performance, and a host of exciting new features.

One of the most anticipated additions is the official launch of the endless runner mode, now easily accessible from the main menu. This classic-style gameplay loop gets a modern twist with the inclusion of new power-ups like the Disco-boot, Bouncer, Rocket Blade, and Minion Armor—each offering unique ways to boost your run and dominate the leaderboards.

The Unity upgrade also brings a more polished and intuitive user interface, making navigation easier than ever. Players can now personalize their experience with customizable profiles, including nicknames, avatars, and decorative frames—perfect for showing off your individual style.

Another standout addition is the Hall of Jam, a progression-based system that rewards players with valuable items such as G-Coins, Minion stickers (used to upgrade or unlock costumes), story puzzle pieces, and exclusive gadgets. It’s a fantastic way to stay engaged and earn high-tier content just by playing.
