Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2 brings a diverse range of titles. The announcement, preceding Microsoft's January 23rd Xbox Developer Direct, highlights several day-one Game Pass additions, including Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and a yet-to-be-revealed fourth game.
The wave begins January 21st with Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S), a day-one release for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This snowy sequel supports up to eight players in cross-platform multiplayer.
January 22nd sees a flurry of additions: Flock (Console) joins Game Pass Standard, offering multiplayer co-op flight and creature collection; Gigantic: Rampage Edition (Cloud, Console, PC) arrives on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, delivering a 5v5 MOBA hero shooter experience; Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (Console), a Japanese-inspired action strategy game, launches on Game Pass Standard; Magical Delicacy (Console) and The Case of the Golden Idol (Console) also debut on Game Pass Standard; Tchia (Xbox Series X|S) joins Game Pass Standard; and Starbound (Cloud and Console) expands to Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass Standard.
January 28th features two day-one releases: Eternal Strands (Cloud, Console, PC), a fantasy action-adventure from Yellow Brick Games, for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass; and Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S), a third-person shooter and trap defense game, also for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
Shady Part of Me (Cloud, Console, PC) arrives on January 29th across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. A significant addition is Sniper Elite: Resistance (Cloud, Console, PC), a day-one Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass title launching January 30th, offering co-op sniping action in occupied France.
Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S), a day-one release for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on January 31st, concludes the month's additions. Finally, Far Cry New Dawn (Cloud, Console, PC) joins Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard on February 4th.
