Marvel Rivals Unveils Season 1: Darkhold Battle Pass

Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls – A Deep Dive into the Darkhold Battle Pass

Get ready for the chilling debut of Marvel Rivals Season 1, "Eternal Night Falls," launching January 10th at 1 AM PST! This season plunges players into a gothic nightmare orchestrated by Dracula, with Doctor Doom taking a temporary backseat. The Fantastic Four lead the charge against Dracula's forces after Doctor Strange falls victim to a cunning trap.

The Darkhold Battle Pass, priced at 990 Lattice (approximately $10), offers a wealth of rewards. Complete the pass to earn 600 Lattice and 600 Units, usable for future cosmetic purchases or battle passes. Ten exclusive skins headline the rewards, alongside sprays, nameplates, emotes, and MVP animations. A key benefit: the pass doesn't expire, allowing completion even after the season ends.

NetEase Games has unveiled a sneak peek at the Season 1 skins:

Marvel Rivals Season 1 Battle Pass Skins:

  • Loki – All-Butcher
  • Moon Knight – Blood Moon Knight
  • Rocket Raccoon – Bounty Hunter
  • Peni Parker – Blue Tarantula
  • Magneto – King Magnus (House of M inspired)
  • Namor – Savage Sub-Mariner
  • Iron Man – Blood Edge Armor (Dark Souls-esque)
  • Adam Warlock – Blood Soul
  • Scarlet Witch – Emporium Matron
  • Wolverine – Blood Berserker (Van Helsing inspired)

The season's aesthetic is decidedly dark and gothic. A blood moon casts a sinister glow over New York City in the new maps. Skins reflect this, with Wolverine's vampire hunter vibe and Loki's menacing All-Butcher attire. Moon Knight's black and white contrast, Scarlet Witch's crimson elegance, and Adam Warlock's golden armor with a crimson cape complete the dark fantasy theme.

While excitement is high, some players express surprise at the absence of Fantastic Four skins in the battle pass. Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic debut in Season 1, but their cosmetics will be available separately in the in-game shop. Despite this, the abundance of new content has fans eagerly anticipating NetEase Games' next move.
