Marvel Rivals Competitive Rank Reset: A Comprehensive Guide

Marvel Rivals, the free-to-play Marvel-themed PvP hero shooter, features a competitive mode with a seasonal rank system. This guide details the competitive rank reset mechanics.

Competitive Rank Reset Mechanics

At the end of each season, your competitive rank is demoted by seven tiers. For example, ending a season at Diamond I will result in a starting rank of Gold II in the next season. Players at Bronze III, the lowest rank, remain there after the reset.

Rank Reset Timing

The competitive rank reset occurs at the conclusion of each season. Season 1's start date (January 10th at the time of writing) indicates the approximate reset timing for future seasons.

All Competitive Ranks

Competitive mode unlocks at player level 10. Progression through ranks is based on accumulating 100 points per tier. The ranks are:

• Bronze (III-I)
• Silver (III-I)
• Gold (III-I)
• Platinum (III-I)
• Diamond (III-I)
• Grandmaster (III-I)
• Eternity
• One Above All (Top 500 Leaderboard)

Even after reaching Grandmaster I, players can continue earning points for the Eternity and One Above All tiers. One Above All requires a top 500 leaderboard placement.

Season Length

While Season 0 was shorter, subsequent seasons are expected to last approximately three months. New seasons will introduce fresh content, including new heroes (like the Fantastic Four) and maps, providing ample time to climb the ranks.
