Mai Shiranui Joins

The trifecta of iconic female fighting game characters immediately springs to mind: Nina Williams, Chun-Li, and Mai Shiranui. While Street Fighter x Tekken featured a memorable clash between Nina and Chun-Li, a rematch isn't on the horizon.

However, Mai Shiranui's arrival as a guest fighter in Street Fighter 6 is a different story. Notably, her reveal trailer showcases a direct confrontation with Chun-Li, a deliberate choice by the developers.

Mai's signature moves are faithfully recreated, her Super looks spectacular, and she's poised to become a fan favorite in Street Fighter 6. The only downside? Capcom has announced a February 5th release date, meaning a three-week wait.

Let's hope the Street Fighter 6 team keeps us entertained with additional content in the meantime.
