In a Macabre Twist, "Carrion" Invades Mobile

Devolver Digital's impressive Android game roster, boasting titles like GRIS, Reigns: Her Majesty, Downwell, and Reigns: Game of Thrones, is about to get even better. The terrifyingly fun "reverse-horror" game, Carrion, is making its mobile debut on October 31st.

Initially released for PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in July 2020, Carrion offers a unique take on the horror genre. Developed by Phobia Game Studio and published by Devolver Digital, this mobile adaptation promises the same chilling experience.

Carrion Mobile: A Horror Story Reimagined

In Carrion, you embody a creature from a nightmare – you are the horror. Control a mysterious, red, amorphous blob as it slithers, claws, and devours everything in its path. The game flips the horror script; instead of surviving terror, you are the terror itself.

Trapped within a high-security Relith Science research lab, this monstrous entity, The Monster, has escaped after undergoing extensive DNA experimentation. Your mission: escape the facility by any means necessary, consuming scientists, security guards, and anyone else who dares stand in your way. Navigate vents, smash through doors, and unleash your tentacles to wreak havoc. The mobile version retains the PC game's thrilling blend of panic and destruction. Progress through the game unlocks upgrades, enabling you to breach barricades and grow in size.

Fans of Metroidvania-style games will appreciate Carrion's seamless blend of exploration and progression. The pixel art style surprisingly complements the game's gory elements, giving it a strangely charming aesthetic.

Carrion on mobile offers a free trial. Unlock the full game and its DLC with a single in-app purchase. Pre-register on the Google Play Store now or wait for its October 31st launch.
