Yamada Heiando, a renowned Japanese lacquerware artisan, has unveiled a captivating collection of Pokémon bowls inspired by the Chinese Zodiac. These handcrafted pieces feature Pikachu (Rat), Ekans (Snake), and Dragonite (Dragon), each imbued with symbolic meaning for a child's development. Pikachu embodies kindness, Ekans represents growth, and Dragonite symbolizes openness.
The bowls, described as "gentle guardians," are designed to add joy and charm to family meals. Yamada Heiando emphasizes their creation with babies and children in mind, hoping they become cherished keepsakes.
Initially sold out rapidly on January 17th, 2025, these limited-edition bowls will be available again starting January 31st. A two-item purchase limit per customer will be in effect. Each set costs 16,500 JPY (approximately $105 USD), with international shipping available at an additional cost depending on factors like packaging and fuel surcharges. Yamada Heiando hints at future releases featuring other Pokémon Zodiac designs.
Pokémon Center Exclusive: Eevee Evolutions Figures
Adding to the Pokémon excitement, the Pokémon Center launched an exclusive line of Eevee evolution figures on January 16th, 2025. The initial release features Jolteon (skillful), Flareon (satisfied), and Vaporeon (playful). More Eeveelutions will be released in groups of three throughout the year, each with a unique personality trait.
