Activists have targeted Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 following the discovery of subpoenas within the game, sparking a campaign to cancel the project.
The game has drawn the attention of activists, including Grummz, described as "agenda-driven." News of KCD 2's ban in Saudi Arabia fueled speculation about its content and alleged "progressive" themes.
This led to online attacks against the developers, calls for a boycott of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, and attempts to dissuade players from supporting the studio.
Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded to the controversy, urging the public to trust the developers and not believe everything found online.
Stolz-Zwilling confirmed that review codes would be distributed "in the coming days" following the game's December gold master status. These are anticipated four weeks prior to release, allowing streamers and reviewers ample time to prepare their content.
Interestingly, the first "final previews," based on review copies, are expected a week after the initial code distribution.
