Navigating to the Puzzle:
Following the Sacred Wounds puzzle, Indy uses the scroll from the Giant's tomb to locate the Fountain of Confession. Use your in-game map to find the courtyard stairs leading to the puzzle's starting point. Remember to photograph all environmental details for Adventure Points!
Stage 1: The Dragon Statues:
- Retrieve the fountain key from the chest near the construction area. This unlocks the storage room.
- Use your whip to rappel to the roof, then swing to the fountain's top.
- You'll find two dragon statues. Swing to the second statue and use its claw to activate a lever.
- Rotate the dragon to face its counterpart. Return to the first statue; its claw will be missing.
- Rappel down to retrieve the fallen claw. A cutscene with Gina Lombardi will ensue.
Stage 2: Reattaching the Claw and Rotating the Fountain:
- Return to the statue, attach the claw, and rotate it to face the other dragon.
- The central fountain statue will rotate, revealing a blocked gate.
Stage 3: The Wall Puzzles:
- A lever appears near the fountain. Indy and Gina activate it, revealing the first wall puzzle (a baptism scene).
- Position the larger male statue under the water bucket and use your whip to fill it.
- Push the statue towards the smaller statue to "baptize" it, moving the left gate statue.
- Reactivate the lever for the second puzzle (moving stone layers to reposition an angel).
- Use the handles to guide the angel to the right side of the wall. This moves the right gate statue.
Stage 4: Final Steps:
- Push the remaining central statue through the gate.
- A spiral stairway will appear, leading to the next part of the game.
