How To Play Hyper Light Breaker With Friends
To embark on a cooperative adventure in Hyper Light Breaker, you'll need to establish a Private multiplayer room. Once you've spawned into the Cursed Outpost, the game's hub zone, locate the counter to the left of your commander, Pherus Bit, positioned directly across from the doorway leading into the Outpost.
Approach the counter and press the Interact button (usually R1 or RB) to access the Multiplayer menu. From here, you can choose to "Create Breaker Team", join an existing team, or review your Invitations. To play with your friends, select "Create Breaker Team".
In the subsequent menu, enable "Password Required" and input a password of your choice. Upon creating your private Breaker Team, you can invite up to two friends using your platform's social features, compatible with PSN, Xbox, and Steam, supporting teams of up to three players.
If your friends are already in the game, they'll receive an invitation in the "Invitations" section of the Multiplayer menu. Alternatively, they can join through the invitation link sent to them. Your team may also appear in the "Join Breaker Team" list, allowing friends to directly join your Private group if other methods fail.

Random Online Matchmaking In Hyper Light Breaker
If you're eager to experience multiplayer but lack friends who own Hyper Light Breaker, the game offers public groups for anyone to join. You can either create a public group by following the steps above without setting a password or opt into the game's matchmaking system.
Navigate to the multiplayer menu at the Cursed Outpost, select "Join Breaker Team", and scroll to the bottom to choose "Join Random Public Breaker Team". The system will then search for available public, non-password-protected Breaker Teams and place you into one. After a brief loading screen, you'll find yourself in the world of the team's creator.
To exit a multiplayer session, return to the counter at the Cursed Outpost, open the multiplayer menu, and select the option to disconnect from the current session, which will send you back to your own world. Alternatively, simply quitting the game will also end your multiplayer session.
