Hogwarts Legacy Prepares to Unveil Modding Capabilities

by Alexander Feb 19,2025

Get ready, Harry Potter fans! WB Games is unleashing a magical update for Hogwarts Legacy: mod support arrives this Thursday! This exciting feature, exclusive to PC players on Steam and the Epic Games Store, will be the centerpiece of a major patch.

The update introduces the Hogwarts Legacy Creator Kit, a powerful toolkit for crafting new in-game content. Think custom dungeons, quests, and even character modifications! The renowned modding platform, CurseForge, will host and distribute these community creations, and a built-in mod manager will streamline the installation process.

Several pre-approved mods will launch alongside the patch, including the thrilling "Dungeon of Doom," promising challenging combat and hidden secrets. However, there's a caveat: mod access requires linking your gaming account to a WB Games account.

Beyond modding, the patch also enhances character customization with fresh hairstyles and outfits. The developers showcased some impressive mod examples in the recent trailer.

And the magic doesn't stop there! Warner Bros. Discovery has confirmed that a sequel to Hogwarts Legacy is already under development and a top priority for the company.
