Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era Announces Open Arena Mode Testing

Unfrozen Games has unveiled a new gameplay trailer for Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era, offering a captivating glimpse into the game's core mechanics, diverse units, and overall strategic gameplay. This exciting reveal coincides with the announcement of closed beta registration for the game's "Arena" mode. Players can request access via the Steam page, with testing running from March 17th to March 28th.

Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era is slated for Steam Early Access in Q2 2025. At launch, players can expect six distinct factions, three immersive single-player modes, and three competitive multiplayer modes. Ubisoft is partnering with Unfrozen Games to bring this highly anticipated title to market.

Recently, the Dungeon faction was showcased, introducing a formidable roster of units including troglodytes, dark elves, minotaurs, medusas, hydras, and dragons. These unique units promise to add significant strategic depth and tactical complexity to the battlefield.

Unfrozen Games openly discussed the challenges faced in developing the Arena mode, specifically addressing the complexities of balancing hero and skill abilities within the constraints of limited space and the absence of starting advantages. They've confirmed these issues have been successfully resolved, ensuring a polished and engaging competitive experience.

While a precise release date remains unannounced, Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era is targeted for a PC release later this year. The developers are striving to create a game that resonates with both seasoned veterans of the series and newcomers alike.
