The God of War, Ares, Has Arrived

Beyond Ares, the update features a new animal companion, challenging new enemies, a refreshed Altar of Ashes with updated art and Arcana effects, over 2,000 new voice lines, and dynamic new events. Players can pause their dungeon runs to unwind in the Crossroads, enjoy brand-new soundtracks, or harmonize in a musical duet with Artemis herself.

Planning Ahead For The Third Major Update

Even as The Warsong Update debuts, Supergiant Games is already mapping out the next major patch, set to be revealed "some months from now," according to their Steam news post. Hades II will remain in Early Access for now, with developers noting that "it’s still too early to share our plans beyond that, including when our v1.0 launch will be." Still, the full release may come sooner than expected, as the core structures of both the Underworld and Surface routes are now largely complete—focus has shifted to deepening and enriching existing content.

Once all post-launch patches for The Warsong Update are live, the team will turn to these key initiatives:

⚫︎ Hidden Aspects: The Nocturnal Arms hold untapped secrets, and the team plans to let players wield them in the future.
⚫︎ Enhanced Guardians: Boss fights are central to Hades II’s appeal, and they’ll be refined to offer even greater challenge and surprise.
⚫︎ Expanded Story: Melinoë’s full narrative arc is being developed, alongside deeper inter-character relationships and subtle subplots.
